No time left for YOU?
What if your family, friends, work, cleaning, cooking, social media scrolling, netflix watching, and email checking all were scheduled around the time that you purposefully scheduled for YOURSELF. And what if that time you carve out of your schedule that no one can touch actually made you better at all the important things in your day?
I teach yoga, meditation, and hold private and group sound healing sessions and I find that people are so grateful to have that time just for themselves and they feel amazing. They also wish that they could do it more, but “can’t” seem to find the time or don’t know what will be happening on the weekends with their families or other obligations, so they keep themselves from booking time for themselves.
If you don’t create time to take care of yourself your time will just fill in with other things that don’t recharge you. And the things that would recharge you, excite you, and give you restorative rest just won’t happen.
Mindful practices like yoga, meditation, sound healing, and any passion that we are engrossed in, get us to connect deeper to our true inner selves. When we are tuned into to how we feel, we can connect on a deeper level to our work and the people we care about.
Taking time for yourself does NOT take you away from getting things done or taking care of your loved ones. It gets you more connected with yourself, your energy, and gets you ready to be truly present with your work, family, and friends.
